“Three Mo' Tenors” Little Shubert Theatre New York City “Three Mo’ Tenors” is a nice show full of energy, wonderful music, and most of all, talent. What these three performers have is impressive vocal instruments and good versatile musicianship. They sing their way through ten different musical styles, from opera arias to contemporary pop, show tunes, rock, and R&B. The direction and choreography by Marion J. Caffey was very effective and kept the pace of the show on point. This was a fast moving train of a show well accentuated by Michael Carnahan’s set and Richard Winkler’s lights. The sound design by Domonic Sack was on the money. The costume design by Gail Cooper-Hecht was appropriately elegant and served the production well. Although I enjoyed the show very much, it felt as though something was lacking in the production. Still it was a show worthwhile seeing. |
